Recent Paintings

​​From Land to Sea

A series of paintings reflecting rapid changes in light moving across land, water and sky. Research for this work involves recording a large number of photographs on site at different times of the day and taking them back to the studio to create collages and colour sketches. These preparatory studies always provide starting points where memory and imagination take over during the final process of applying paint to canvas and relief boards.
